Autumn is here - winds are howling - leaves are flying about - let's enjoy a cup of tea.
We start with roses
Just the perfect color to go with my Sears Cattail tea set.
This dish set was made in in the early 1940s; the teapot sold for $2.98 and a cup and saucer was fifty cents - oh for those prices these days.
Let's have some Fresh Apple Cake with our tea
Green Bakelite handled flatware is perfect for these dishes
Come, sit, enjoy, there is tea and cake for you too
And lovely roses to scent the room
...simple and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Jo Anne - your tea time is lovely - I have never seen a set like that and I love its history!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are stunning - and apple cake? MMMMMMMMMM such a perfect autumn tasty treat! Thank you for this wonderful tea time you have shared with us!
Have a blessed weekend! Hugs!
The Cattail tea set is unique and very modern looking with its clean graphics. Roses, tea and apple cake sound like a great way to spend time on these blustery days. We had a bit of a reprieve from the rain this afternoon, but another system is moving in tomorrow. Stay warm and cozy.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to enjoy your tea party.
