September was a great month - lots of sunny skies and warm weather - the warm weather lasted longer than usual and we enjoyed every minute of it.
A farm in front of Mt. Baker - one of my favorites views
A Great Blue Heron on a sunny day - with lots of waves rolling into Birch Bay State Park.
Painting, remembering summer
Great Blue Herons abound
A few days were filled with smoke from forest fires and wild fires across the Northwest - beautiful sun photos - but hard on the lungs. We all breathed easier when the smoke cleared.
One of my favorite Great Blue Heron photos - at least I didn't cut its head off as it took flight.
How was your September?
I cannot believe what a wonderful artist you are. Those blue jays on vintage music are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'd commission you to paint gold finches on music for me! : - )
...and where does the time go?
ReplyDeleteYou have had a magic September with that magic camera of yours, JoAnn. The farm with Mt Baker in the background is beautiful. Oh, what a clever painter you are. LOVE those sweet little birds on the sheet music.
ReplyDeleteHello, beautiful review of your month of September. The gorgeous view of the mountain is my favorite. I also love the Herons. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post, JoAnne. I did love September---it was great

Yes, September was a very good month except that it was one of the quickest ones this year! October has been good so far but we've already had one or more nights of frost (I haven't checked our weather station again; I know it got down to 31 degrees recently). My garden has frost damaged leaves and the dahlias are looking very unhappy too. I harvested the last of the green beans this evening and picked the cherry tomatoes that are ripe. The deer may get a crack at the remaining leaves and tomatoes. It's gone way too fast!
ReplyDeleteThat bright red barn against the blue sky and mountain backdrop is amazing / no wonder it is a favorite of yours :)
ReplyDeleteI would find it hard to choose my favorite. What kind of birds are sitting on the wires? Ive seen migrating starlings all over the grass but never all lined up like that.
