I love the meme "5 in 5" - pick up your camera, select a subject and take pictures for 5 minutes - then pick your favorites.
Fourth of July family get-together - lots of sunflowers
And lots of good food.
The sunflower dish with the condiments in it was sent to me by my friend Candy, in Ohio. It is great for condiments, or maybe taco fixin's, or how about some chips and dips - quite versatile. And easy to store because the pieces are all separate. One of my favorite serving pieces.
Oops - caught someone's hand snatching a quick nibble.
Ok - that's five - now let's eat!
...JoAnn, you sure have many collections of treasures. The blues and yellows are a great combination. Thanks so much for sharing, enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteHello, sounds like a fun meme. I love your blue glass. The sunflower dish and plates are pretty. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHow nice your kitchen looks with the Yellow chairs and the crisp white cabinet. The blue and white checked plates with the sunflower motif, the checked tablecloth, and the blue glassware look great too. The yellow in the sunflower plates compliment the yellow color of the chairs very nicely. The pasta salad and the potato salad are my favorite Summer holiday foods. Yum! Yours look really tasty! I just saw your deviled eggs - oh yummy! I want to taste them too!
ReplyDeleteSadly I sold my Correlle Sunsation dinner and salad plates a while back. I have several other sunflower sets to list for sale on eBay soon. I will miss them all because they make such pretty summer holiday tables.
We have a family reunion this coming weekend so I will be cooking for a group again this Friday and Saturday. More potato salad and ham I think. I found some great paper plates to use for the reunion (the family rents a pavilion at the Metro Park for the reunion). Carrying china back and forth in the park is a bit out of the question.
Have a great week, I am heading over to your August Review post. I caught a glimpse of the dolls in their lovely gowns- Oh my! they all look lovely!
Hugs,
Candy
That table looks so inviting! Yellow and sunflowers can't fail to make you feel cheery, and the flower shaped dish is just perfect! Useful that it comes a part to store too, big dishes can be a problem sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking part in this months 5in5 - I hope you all had a lovely time and I enjoyed seeing your photos.
Sunflowers are such cheery blooms and so suited to this time of year when the sun can be intense but the air is beginning to cool a little. Your sunflower serving set is so pretty and useful, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous tale setting in the blue. They are so inviting and making me happy!
ReplyDeleteI always love to see your tablescapes. Your collection of dishes and serving pieces is amazing, not to mention the great food you serve. - Margy
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect looking table! The meal looks great and I love your sunflowers, especially that serving piece. No wondering what's to eat in your house!
