Barns on the backroads behind Big Lake, WA. The grass is such a beautiful green in the autumn and winter here because of the plentiful rain we get. In the last week alone we've had almost 2 inches - and more to come. It is our rainy season.

That's a a lot of rain JoAnn - poor North Carolina could use a little especially in the west where the forest have been very bad.

It is nice to see some cared-for barns for a change. The fall leaves are set off nicely by all that green. We are having ever so much rain ... and our rainy season is in June and July. I haven't seen much of those bright blue skies that usually appear from the fall.

I like the contrast between the old and new barns. I guess as a farmer I'd be very proud of a lovely new barn, but to be honest the oldies appeal to me more.
