Locust Trees

Locust trees are in bloom - in full,
sweet smelling, beautiful bloom
The trees are wide and full of blossoms
They are a member of the pea family - and soon each of these clusters will be loaded with tangled pods of seeds that will spread quickly
 Growing forests of Locust trees

Beautiful in the spring and early summer

Hardly anything smells as good as a Locust tree in bloom

  2. The Locust Trees look beautiful and the flowers are similar in appearance if not in colour to wisteria and laburnum.

  4. Those Locust trees are stunning! They rather have the look of a Wisteria flower.

  5. One place we lived had a huge Locust tree in the pasture. It didn't bloom every year but when it did it was splendid. One night it fell down and that was that. It was all rotted inside and we didn't even know it.

  7. What gorgeous trees! We had honey locusts in California but they never bloomed, probably a good idea since we didn't have room for any more than we did.
