Here are Wild Phlox - scenting the air as you pass. You can even smell them in the
car with the windows rolled down
Wild Phlox line the roads and hillsides - wish one or two would plant themselves in my yard
Alium - nodding in the breeze
Lace-Cap Hydrangea - they are blooming earlier than the other hydrangeas this year.
And what is prettier than a white Lupine?
What is your favorite flower?

We have phlox growing along the edge of our woods. It's one of the first things to bloom in late spring. Years ago, we transplanted some from fields nearby our house. I'm delighted that they took root and prospered in their new home!
I find that capture of the tree in the last photo quite beautiful and interesting at the same time.
I never saw those hydrangeas with the large male flowers framing the center until I came to Japan. The name in Japanese translates as framed hydrangea. Your flower pictures bring back many memories.
Hello, I love the wild phlox and the allium. Beautiful purples! Happy weekend to you!
We have lots off daisies growing along the roadways, no phlox. Later in the summer we have a gazillion wild sunflowers!
Are they hydrangeas and lupines in your garden? After a few years of NO hydrangea blossoms, mine has several this year...I just love it.
Have a nice weekend, JoAnn.
I couldn't possibly have a favorite flower. They all are so pretty and make me happy.
you can't beat these!
Just love the wild Phlox.
All flowers, all blooms are so lovely to look at.
All the best Jan
I don't think I've sniffed the scent of phlox. I'll have to do that the next time I'm near any. We have purple lupine blooming in our yard. And the nasturtium are starting to bloom, too...thanks to the tips you gave me on gathering their seeds.
Beautiful! I don't really have a favourite flower as I change my mind all the time!
