Spring has really taken over - in just a few days it seems that new flowers are blooming and everywhere you look there are new flowers to see.
Tulips, tulips, tulips - it is tulip festival time. Thousands will come to view the massive fields of commercially grown tulips.
Azaleas
Fields and fields of dandelions
Cheerful, sunny flowers fill fields
Wild Phlox is blooming alongside the roads - wafting sweetness as you pass by.
Thimbleberries grow wild
Golden Chain trees - a very popular landscaping shrub - and they escape and grow wild too
Elderberries burst into bloom this week - time for Elderberry flower fritters
And the lilacs - oh the lilacs!
The best of the best
Fields fill wild mustard every spring
Spring is glorious in NW Washington state. Can you smell it? Add to that the fresh mown lawns and you have heaven. Happy Spring!!

you brightened my day...thanks
Hello, I wish i could smell these beautiful flowers. I love the gorgeous tulips! The bees must be very happy there. It is still slow to bloom around here. Gorgeous flowers, blossoms and images. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
What an amazing time of year. All of that wonderful rainfall you get really makes the flowers happy! Enjoy your week sweet friend. Hugs, Diane
Well, okay, we are still looking at snow so I am trying very hard to be happy for you! :)
I read on FB recently that we should not pull dandelions because they are the first available feeding source for bees. Bees are declining in numbers and that is affecting our food production. Based on this, I'm going to say that that photo is my favorite of the lot! Who would ever kneel down and start digging that amount out with a little shovel?
Oh my! What gorgeous photos! Thank you for sharing! Have a grand week!
Wow JoAnn, all beautiful images. I like I like I like---couldn't choose one. LOL!
MMMmmmm it does smell good here. You forgot the wild native cherry trees blooming in the woods all over..
Love this post.

All those blooms and scents you are loving sure do sound like heaven. Even the dandelions create a glowing field of yellow and here some gardeners are putting out signs to let them be as they are an important pollinator flower.
Your Spring is soooooo much further along than ours (of course)! Such wonderful flowers!
Your photos leave me breathless. The flowers are so gorgeous and I do love the way you enchant the dandelions as wishes. Now that is a great positive outlook.
Oh, JoAnn, your photos and mosaics are gorgeous. Of course, many of these plants are my favourites, but in these pictures even dandelions (not my favourites) look wonderful. :)
Thank you very much for sharing!
