Recently we have seen a lot of birds
in the bare trees.
Bald Eagles - near Bow and Edison, WA
Doves - I had never seen a flock in a tree before.
Flickers just outside Bellingham,WA
More Doves in a different tree - both near LaConner, WA
A large flock of Starlings (we could hear them for about a block before we got to the tree) and Bald Eagles near their nest, on the road to
Samish Island, WA
Several have asked about my camera - it is a Nikon CoolPix P600
I love watching birds. I need to get a new camera though before I can take great quality pictures like you did.

Hello JoAnn! Thanks for sharing these shots with us. I would love to see some bald eagles. I mostly see pigeons and doves, magpies, blackbirds at the moment.
ReplyDeleteKeep having fun with your camera!
fabulous - one advantage of the bare trees is that it is easier to see the birds - always a treat to see bald eagles
ReplyDeleteI love to see birds, I haven't seen so many doves together before.
ReplyDeleteYou and that cool camera of yours do take the most gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteLovely selection of birds.
ReplyDeleteIt's easier to see birds when the leaves are gone...but this time of the year so many birds are also gone, too. You found a good assortment of the ones who stick around. (We have a small flock of doves that hang around near and in our garden. Sometimes they look so darned cold and miserable I feel sorry for them.)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you got so close to see a Bald Eagle. What an amazing picture! I have seen one in the wild when we had those bad fires a couple years back. Have a wonderful week. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeletebeautiful time of year and wonderful weather to catch a glimpse of these beautiful birds, thanks for sharinmg.
ReplyDeleteWell, my camera is a Nikon coolpix P7700. I don't know what the difference is but all the instructions are in Japanese and half the time I can't get it to focus on what I think I am aiming at. I think the next camera I will buy in the states ... like my computer ... so I can read the instructions.
ReplyDeleteHello, wonderful captures of all the birds. I love the eagles and the sweet doves. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteHi Joann! Oh, what gorgeous birds! Love seeing the eagles. When we lived in Texas we had mourning doves all of the time in the back yard coo cooing. How I miss them. Thank you for popping in to see me and I hope you're dong well.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
What a cool collection of photos - I like how you've grouped several of each type. We don't get eagles here so it was fun to see those in particular.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I think bald eagles are so magnificent to see! The host of birds in the tree is awesome as well as your other shots.
ReplyDeletesuper collection of bird shots. I have never seen that many doves in a tree either: usually just a single pair of them!
