Yesterday was one of those glorious Autumn days that calls us outdoors
So outdoors we went - and down a little road that runs along the Nooksack River - just south of Lynden - it is called - are you ready? - It is called River Road - clever name. The barns and farms along the little road were amazing.
This barn has Mt. Baker in its view
Another Mt. Baker view - there are several feet of new snow on the mountain since we last saw it
Beautiful farm - glorious Mt. Baker
I have so many barn photos I decided to organize them into future posts. I now have 12 posts ready for the weeks ahead - and I'm certain I'll be finding more barns during that time. But at least all of the files are empty of unposted barns - ready for more barn photos to come.

Stunning photos. What a beautiful place to live and farm.
Wowser!!! What countryside you have to enjoy. You are sharing some wonderful barns, but Mt Baker has a way of stealing the show! JoAnn you have left me speechless, I can't wait to see what you will have next. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.
So beautiful! What a place to live and see with Mt. Baker as a backdrop. Have a great Thanksgiving week JoAnn.
Blessings,

the countryside is wuild and beautiful.
That last shot is especially nice! I've noticed around here that the farmsteads generally have some of the nicest vistas. Can you imagine being outdoors working and having some of these views to keep you company every day? No hardship there!
Nice barn photos, beautiful mountain scenery!
Mount Baker and a barn make a perfectly gorgeous pair!
There's something about a red barn. Love the one with Baker in the background. And I love your new header. - Margy
