My new pumpkin and scarecrow teapot is perfect for an Autumn tea
The Blueberry Picnic checked cups and saucers match the scarecrow
Let's make an apple tart. Bernideen posted this recipe - from Ina Garten a few weeks ago. I just couldn't resist making one - after all, Washington is famous for apples.
The autumn tablecloth makes a festive background for our tea party.
I have a complete set of these dishes - they are one of my favorite. They are by Nova Studio and also come in lavender and green checks.
Have a slice of apple tart - I'll be serving my new favorite tea, Pomegranate Pizazz.
A lace tablecloth with a pale blue under cloth also goes well with our tea setting today.
Help yourself to a cup of tea and a slice of apple tart.
Adore that creative and colourful pumpkin and scarecrow teapot. So unusual. And it looks grand complemented by the blue accessories.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the invitation. I am enjoying my tea visit and no calories in that tart over the internet.
ReplyDeleteMorning JoAnn,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy seeing fun teapots. It's so cute that your cups and saucers match the scarecrow's shirt, and the blue tablecloth peeking through that gorgeous lace, makes me drool.
Thanks for playing today.
Have a Beautiful Blue Monday!
Hello JoAnn, pretty tea setting and I like the cute teapot. The apple tart looks delicious. I would like to try a new dessert for Thanksgiving, this one sounds just right. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
ReplyDeleteYour new pumpkin teapot is perfect with the pumpkin bowls for the Fall season and the blue checked handle on the teapot looks like it was made to go with the Blueberry Nova tea cups. The apple tart looks super tasty for an afternoon snack with a cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
Hugs,
Candy
I love the Scarecrow teapot too! And the Apple dessert looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely post. That teapot is such a winner.
ReplyDeleteYour lacy tablecloth ... did you make it? It's so pretty and perfect for this time of year as the pattern reminds me of snowflakes. I used to crochet years ago but haven't done any recently. I don't see myself attempting anything of that magnitude right now, but I can sure enjoy the beauty of yours.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead...
Brenda
You have such beautiful dishes for every season. And the apple tart looks amazing. I have a big bag of apples so I'll be baking something soon. Enjoy your day sweet friend. We're having a light rain shower and I was thinking of you. Warm hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteLove your Holiday theme table ... And the tart.... Oh my gosh ....delicious!
ReplyDeleteA lovely autumn afternoon tea indeed! xx
ReplyDeleteI love that teapot and the cute cups and saucers. Precious blue share. I love anything to do with tea. Sigh! Thank you for thinking of all of us and sharing this delightful tea. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteYour adorable teapot made me smile!
ReplyDeleteYour tart is really beautiful...
ReplyDeleteI thought at first that I preferred your autumn colored table cloth but on second look I fell in love with the beautiful crochet pattern of the second one. It's beautiful. And I'd love a slice of your tart!
A beautiful autumn tea. The apple tart looks delicious! It's fun to have seasonal dishes, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI like your checked dishes JoAnn, you know the purple would be tempting me. I've never made a galette but it looks delicious and I did see it at Bernideen's as well.
ReplyDeleteDelicious looking apple tart. What a cute teapot too . I do love your mosaic pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous festive scene especially the tea pot and that yummy tart.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun teapot! The cups are perfect with it too. The Apple tart looks delicious and I do remember it at Bernideen's. Your whole tea setting is very inviting. As much as I like the checks, I do love the soft blue beneath the lace. Thank you for sharing with us and have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteAutumn blessings,
Sandi
That teapot is so fun and cute. I am a sucker for gingham so of course I feel instantly in love with your cups. The tart looks divine. You're right - perfect for fall.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice how all your treasures fit together. - Margy
ReplyDeleteI like the balance of blue and white checks with your autumn accessories! That apple tart looks great. I have all of Ina's cookbooks and have never had a bad recipe from any of them.
ReplyDeleteWish I could have had a piece of that apple tart. It looked really tasty.
ReplyDeleteYour teapot and the dishes go very well together.
I could use a cup of tea right now. It's a lovely 77 outside but I think it must be 60 inside. ;o)
