My little break from blogging is over - Don's surgery went fabulously - the doctor was amazed at how well he was doing and Don was able to come home the very next day. He's recuperating and doing great - the stitches come out Monday and he goes back to work Tuesday - hard to keep a good man down. Thank you all for your lovely comments during this time - it is nice to have friends on our side at times like this.
Now to the barns - there are many barns out near Everson, WA - so lets have a look at more of them
Some old and worn
Some worn, but still in use
Some metal - I'd not seen a barn like this before - traditional shape for this area - but clad all in metal sheeting.
And the lovely home on the same farm - so wonderful to see the pride in the home and barn
The windmill isn't working anymore - but it adds charm to the scene
A new barn
And an old barn
A differently shaped barn
Almost taken over by berry bushes
And a surprise on the other end - an old advertising sign

First I'm glad to hear that all is well on the health front! By far my favorite is the last one. Contact my friend Dave Tower at:

with pictures and info on this great Copenhagen barn. Thanks so much for linking up this week and I look forward to your return. Tom The Backroads Traveller
Gorgeous barns!
So glad to hear Don is doing well!
I love the old barn signs. The new one looks fancy enough to live in. Sorry I didn't know about the surgery, glad it went well. I can schedule my posts to go up while I'm at the cabin, but I have to wait until I get to town to do any visiting and commenting. Our connection at the cabin is too slow, plus too expensive using the cellular connection. Have you ever read the book Border Songs? It is fiction about an unusual border agent who loves birds and his father runs a dairy farm along the border. - Margy
I'm glad for your good news about Don and that all is well. These are beautiful barns and what a gorgeous home too. I like the old advertisement on the last barn. Have a great week!
I do not know which I like best...they are all wonderful. I do so love the one you titled Old Barn....but really love them all.
Glad your husband is doing well!
Great barn photos!
Good news on the health front! The barns are all fabulous!
So glad that Don has done so well! I'm sure you're both happy to put this behind you.
This is a great selection of barns. I love 'em all. And that Copenhagen sign is quite a bonus!
Very good news about your husband's health!
My favorite barn is the second one. Love the aging white paint and that it is a working dairy farm. Amazing how many barns are in your area. (Well, coming from the suburbs it seems like a large number.) :)
Great barns and buildings! I am glad to hear that Don did so well and amazed that he will be back to work so soon! All good!! xx
I'm so glad for that good news. I hope your husband continues getting better. I wonder how that metal sided barn would sound in a heavy rain.
I love barns and you see such a nice variety. I hope Don continues to improve and feel better. Take care...both of you! Sweet hugs, Diane
I just adore that amazing farm house and the beautiful property - all protected by the attentive dog!
I am glad Don is doing so well! Good for him! Probably didn't hurt to have excellent in-home nursing care by his "partner-in-crime!" :)
