Autumn is here I want to share a tea with you - and roses
We start with roses
A friend gave me this pretty miniature rose.
Just the perfect color to go with my Sears Cattail tea set
This dish set was made in in the early 1940s; the teapot sold for $2.98 and a cup and saucer was fifty cents
Let's have some Fresh Apple Cake with our tea. Apple cake is perfect for an autumn dessert.
Green Bakelite handled flatware is perfect for these dishes
Come, sit, enjoy, there is tea and cake for you too
And lovely roses to scent the room
Tea Time Tuesday
Such beautiful roses that match that teapot so perfectly! Lovely teatime you have set up! So glad you shared.
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, your tea set is perfect with your roses! Imagine getting a tea set for that price today! Apple cake sounds wonderful with a cup of tea. Thanks so much for joining me today.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Lovely! And I like your new pumpkins header too!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are gorgeous! The pretty tea set is also a great find!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet tea set. Perfect for fall. Can you believe the price of them so long ago? I love the trucks of pumpkins in your header!
ReplyDeleteLove your pumpkin banner pictures. You have so many nice dishes and table settings. - Margy
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely table! Those tea roses are glorious. (I misread the cost of the teapot at first...thought it was $298!!)
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, I enjoyed our tea so much. We will have to do it more often! I have always admired that pattern but never knew who made it or what it was named. It is so retro and the roses are just beautiful and a perfect compliment to the tea set and to Fall..Happy Tuesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteThat really is a beautiful coloured rose isn't it! xx
ReplyDeleteI love your teaset! The cattail design is wonderful, and perfect for fall. The roses are gorgeous and a perfect match. I would love a piece of your apple cake too! Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!
