We saw many beautiful scenes while on our daily jaunts, although we did take a few days to stay home and tidy up after all our company.
Banks of fireweed along the roadsides
Two young eagles in their nest
Ocean Spray everywhere - big puffy bushes of it
Potato fields - blossoming and making delicious potatoes. Washington potatoes are the most delicious we've ever eaten (sorry Idaho).
And fields of wheat - ready for harvest
Hello JoAnn, I love the images of the fireweed. Lovely color! Cool sighting of the eaglets on the nest. I am not sure what kind of potatoes we buy here, I have to check. The field of potatoes is amazing. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, JoAnn. I love the one of the ocean spray bush, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the difference between a potato grown in Washington, Idaho or Maine?! Wheat harvest here was a little later than usual with all the rain we had earlier in the summer.
It makes me feel so happy to see the abundance we have in this country. Makes me glad to be an American! Beautiful photos my friend. Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteWonderful fireweed!! xx
ReplyDeleteI could drive for hours and never be away from buildings and power lines. If it weren't for you, I might forget those scenes existed.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to see two young eagles in the nest!
ReplyDelete(We don't eat a lot of potatoes...I must check to see where they're from and make a comparison!)
There is such a rich bounty of everything you photographed. Beautiful! They would make lovely quilting fabrics too!
