Time for a scavenger hunt - let's go
Walk
Taking a walk to this mailbox would make you happy every day
* * * * *
Horizontal
Horizontal stripes - potato fields, wheat, read potatoes, more wheat and corn - and at the very back - more wheat, ready to be harvested.
* * * * *
Square
Granny Square afghan I made two years ago, and bring out every autumn now - it is about time to cuddle under it with a book and a cup of hot tea
The knitted or crocheted blanket we call an "afghan" is named for the people of Afghanistan.
The noun "Afghan" first appeared in English in the late 1700s as a name for the Pashtuns of eastern and southern Afghanistan. (The name is not Pashtun in origin, however; "afghan" is the Persian name for these people.)

Diversity
Diverse kinds of jam I made this week, some is a mixture of Apricots and Raspberries, and some is a mixture of Raspberries and Apricots. The darker has more raspberries than the lighter.
* * * * *
Rough
Some rough driftwood on the beach at Birch Bay State Park. I didn't realize until I saw the picture on the computer that there was a jacket hanging on a branch of the driftwood. No one came by to claim it while we were there.
* * * * *
Bow
Stop and buy some flowers in the tiny town of "BOW" Washington - love the humor of this sign. And you put your money in a slot in the fence
* * * * *
Joy
Joy is a nasturtium flower in the morning sun, with droplets on the leaves
* * * * *
Forgotten
A long forgotten barn, the blackberries are taking over
* * * * *
Crowd
These children were trying and trying to drag this log ashore - linking up for more strength - but finally had to give up.
A "crowd" of seagulls on the shore at Birch Bay State Park. They are waiting out a storm with 50 mph winds
* * * * *
Colorless
This pretty tree has almost no color - and the leaves are fuzzy too
* * * * *
Friendly
And this on the top of a taxi - I'd ride with them!!

Whatever You Want
I couldn't resist this line of t-shirts hung out in the orchard to dry.

I like that shot of the little rock inside the hollow of the driftwood.
Wonderful list you've put together. My favorites? VW mailbox. Kids gathering on the beach. Those jams. The horizontal lines. You taxi.
Thinking I enjoyed the entire posting.
I always enjoy your entry - so colourful and interesting. The mailbox is brilliant and I love the row of t-shirts. Your blanket is lovely and I like the sound of your jam - yum! x
Wonderful photos I've really enjoyed looking at them. Love the post box and the bus such fun and I like your photos of the rough driftwood and the line of t shirts:)
I love those photos of the driftwood. The information about the word afghan was really interesting, I didn't know its origin and had never really associated it with Afghanistan although the link is really obvious.
Wonderful collection of images. I love the driftwood, gull on the beach and the row of colorful tees. Great post. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
thanks for taking part in this months scavenger hunt, what a great group of photos. I reLly like your photos of walk, colourless, crowd and joy. Greenthumb
How funny that we both thought of gulls for "crowd." The nasturtium is gorgeous and I love the old barn!
I like those great shots and the row of shirts. I also have an afghan made by my mother and one made by me looking very similar.
Great selection!
How funny is that rock in the hollow! The graffiti on the bus is super- musicians! The children linking together is also a great find, you captured them perfectly! A super selection this time!x
Wonderful finds, JoAnn! Colorless was gorgeous, and I really loved the texture of the leaves. Crowd brought back so many memories for me; it was a spectacular candid shot! That mailbox would have me smiling every time I went to pick up the mail! Have a good one!
Hello. I enjoyed seeing all your photos. I love the afghan you made as it reminds me of one my grandmother made years ago. Your take on horizontal is my favorite. I miss seeing the lovely fields in my beautiful home state of Washington. I wish you a wonderful week :)
What fun to scroll these and know that the next one will even be better than the last! Loved them all! But the best part is finding favorites! The mailbox, for sure - and the afghan - your craftsmanship is always excellent!
Great finds! I love the mailbox and the bus!! xx
It's so much fun to get out and take photos of the beautiful and unusual things. Hope you've had a good day! Lots and lots of hugs, Diane
Some brilliant photos here, it's hard to choose a favourite but if pushed Forgotten, Horizotal and the colourful T shirts.
My! I've gotten behind!
I love the shot of the children holding hands in the surf. Great shot!
Beautiful photographs...particularly liked the 'Rough' and 'Colourless' photos.
