Oh, that little yellow house in that setting is the stuff dreams are made of. My comment to Husband when passing such a place is, "I bet it is as neat as a pin inside, too." And this place would be wonderfully welcoming with lemonade and Gluten Free Cookies! :) m & jb
What an adorable cottage...love the flowers in the front. JoAnn, I do wonder how young people afford such large, expensive first homes filled with brand new furniture; maybe I watch too much HGTV!
What a beauty! Classic Americana! I love it when we go somewhere after dark and my husband is driving and I can peer inside people's lighted windows and see their decor!...especially on the way to or home from Midnight Mass. I see scenes that could be on the front of Christmas cards! Very heartwarming - just like your picture is!
As I spent my entire childhood making up stories to fit the lives of my dolls, it is not hard to imagine a story to go with every place. Though these days I tend to imagine what I would do if I had access to all that extra space. (both inside and out).
Good morning, what a pretty home. It just looks very welcoming! I am sure they had many family dinners there. And have some Lemonade out on the porch swing! Enjoy your day!
I do the same thing. I grew up in a town on the sea. Many of the houses near the harbor were built in the 1600s and sit right upon the street with little, if any, front yard. I like to look into the windows while I pass by and see how they have things decorated. Not in a peeping tom kind of way though...
Sweet house! I love homes with porches and I bet it is well designed and decorated inside. I definitely would love to "peek" into some of the houses I pass by each day.
That is a beautiful Craftsman style home! I love a house with a veranda and often wonder what the inside of homes are like and who lives in them. Have a great day!
Well I have to admit it looks somewhat like my own little cottage home, even the yellow paint and front porch! So dear friend, IF you ever drive by mine be certain to come up the driveway and ring the door bell, I'd love to have you come inside anytime!

Oh, so pretty! Someone's inside painting watercolor in a light-filled studio in the back.

ReplyDeleteLove the little yellow house! Yes, I do wonder ... or I make up stories of what it might be like to live there. Fun post. Have a lovely week.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful house and lovely garden. Would be a nice place to sit on the porch on a cool summer evening. - Margy
