On our Saturday trip to Camano Island we saw so many beautiful flowers
First was this wonderful Hibiscus Bush
With two colors of flowers on the same bush
In front of a second hand store were these lovely flowers
And on a back road we came across this clever planter full of Pinwheel Petunias
Hollyhocks were everywhere
The flowers of summer
Good morning, I love all the hibiscus blooms and the petunia bike is cute! Lovely images. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
ReplyDeletesuch pretty flowers, Joann. That planter is really cute.
ReplyDeleteI love the white bicycle planter- it really draws the eyes to it. I wonder if the hibiscus and hollyhock plants are related. I know that hollyhocks are individual plants and that the hibiscus is a bush, but their blooms look similar. Thanks for sharing these magnificent flowers.
ReplyDeletePink hollyhocks, spiraling upward along my grandma's back fence, welcomed me to her gate and into her lovely yard every day. We lived right in back of her, and every type of flower thrived under her nurturing hand.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures!
Gorgeous hibiscus blooms. I love the dark interiors and white/pink petals. Great contrast.
ReplyDeleteThe bicycle planter is lovely with the pinwheel petunias. I planted some of them this year and haven't been very impressed with them. But they look great here.
What a gorgeous bunch of flowers you've captured here - peak of summer!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!! xx
ReplyDeleteI love hollyhocks but they don't like southern gardens I fear - I just can't get them to do much at all despite trying!

The bicycle planter is such a great statement piece. I would like a smaller version in my garden. I think hibiscus blooms are so beautiful. Unfortunately they did not last long in my garden...too hot, I think. It's always so nice to see flowers from different parts of the country. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. I love hollyhocks! The really dark one is a favorite of mine. Love teh bicycle too!
ReplyDeleteThe hibiscus are blooming here but hollyhocks are about done. The bushes manage to stay very attractive even though those flowers drop at the end of the day.
