The Barn Collective

Like Tom, I never seem to run out of barns to photograph.  Our wonderful summer weather has been fabulous for driving slowly along in farm country.

I thought that today I would feature barns and Mt. Baker - two of my favorite subjects.
I've waited for two weeks for Mt. Baker to be out - and finally no clouds on Mt. Baker - so back to this farm to get a picture with Mt. Baker

This is the same barn I took a picture of with the Sisters in the background - what fabulous mountain views these people have on this farm.
Found this old rickety barn - grown up with bushes and trees - and lots wires - but the perfect picture of Mt. Baker in the background.
There are two barns, the flat one and a tall one just behind it to the right.  Love the two silos also.
A white barn in front of Mt. Baker
I took pictures of this barn with Mt. Baker at different places along the road - making the mountain move behind the barn.

And there it is -  right between the barn and the silo.

We drove around the corner and got another view of the same barn - no mountain, but a wonderful barn.  I like the old, original barn on the left, and the newer addition nearer the silo, probably added on as the farmer obtained more land.

Beautiful backdrop for these great barns. There are spots here where I live near Seattle that we can see Mt. Baker off to the North!

Farmers really pick some choice spots! I don't think it's only about how fertile the land is! Such nice views and interesting barns.

I too, am a barn lover and I enjoy photographing them when I come across them! On a visit to Lancaster, PA a couple of years ago, I was in barn heaven! Enjoyed driving through the sprawling countryside photographing barns! Every one of them! What a beautiful collection of photographs you have here! The barn in front of the mountain is my favorite! What a gorgeous view!

We don't have many barns around Powell River, except out in Paradise Valley (just like its name). There are small farms that offer produce, eggs and meat either at the gate or farmer's market. - Margy

Every shot is so peaceful and still - such a nice break from the usual frenzy of the world!

Those mountains are beautiful in the background. What a view! I have some changing rolling elevations on the farm but nothing as grand as mountains.
Great shots
