The Barn Collective

Today I thought we would look at some red barns

Some are more red than others - time takes its toll.  But this one has a nice new roof.

Just so we know that this is a red barn!

Sit still for very long and green moss will grow on you.

Oh, gee, all of these are wonderful! I think my favorite is the one with the green roof. Just something about it.

Fabulous captures. That cracks me up that there is a sign that says red barn!

I love the barn with the tall grasses in front. You see so many neat barns in your part of the country. Glad you take pics to share! Sweet hugs, Diane

It just seems to me that a barn should be RED. Do you feel the same way? I hate it when they aren't.

Lovely pictures! These barns seem a little lonely to me though - no horses or cows to keep them company!

Oops! Okay I do see one picture with goats or donkeys! I remember you posted that one before!

One of the things I love about visiting New England is the red barns that are everywhere. I thought it was just a New England thing but obviously not!

Red is so traditional. Wayne likes his red in boats. Every one of ours has some red up high or down on the hull except for our ocean boat. That one is just plain off-white fiberglass. - Margy

I wonder why red became the standard for classic barns. It certainly looks nice enough! You have some wonderful barns in your region.

Oh, how I love barns. Wouldn't some of those make for a great quilt! But I want to explore the inside of them, especially any that look like they've been abandoned for a while.
