Taking our rides is always an adventure - we never know what we will come upon - and then around a curve were these horses in a field of buttercups.
With a lovely old shed in the background
They were quite friendly at even looked up from the grass they were munching. So often horses seem to be intent on only eating.
Well, I guess it must be very yummy.
There were three horses but one moved off quite quickly to behind a tree
And then there were two
Close up of the weathered old shed
Thank you horses - we enjoyed meeting you.

ReplyDeleteLovely photos, horses can vary between very friendly indeed to ignoring you completely can't they:) There are fields full of buttercups here as well at the moment, they are really beautiful even on a dul day.

So pretty ... gorgeous horses, buttercups and the old shed. I love old barns and sheds. Lovely shots. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteWow... Great summer pictures.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely photos of the horses that seem more friendly than the ones I shared the other day. :) The old shed looks nice in the background. Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteOh these pictures of the fields of buttercups are amazing...just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love a surprise like this while on a drive and the field of buttercups is so pretty. The horses may have been checking to see if you brought them a treat but the one that wandered off like likely told them it was only a camera. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Mosaic Monday JoAnn.
BTW, saw some of your embroidered dish towels featured on the FB tea group I belong to, she ordered some after I showed mine. (Yay!)
What beautiful colors. I think we see more of the really dark brown and black horses here. Love that old weathered shed too. Great photos my friend. I wish I could take a ride with you! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that they stood relatively still so you could photograph them! Love the yellow flowers in the field and the old barn.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful images! Makes me want to move out of the suburbs. The gray horse's coloring is really interesting and so is the old shed. Makes you think of the history behind it and who once used it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of the week and thanks for visiting!
Nora
What beauties the horses and the Buttercups~
ReplyDeleteA scenic and romantic place. Horses always make grand photos, even they are doing nothing more exciting than eating. Add an old shed to the background and you have a classic photo.
ReplyDeleteI've loved horses ever since I can remember. - Margy
ReplyDeleteSuch idyllic shots of the horses in the fields of buttercups.
ReplyDeleteYou came upon a truly beautiful scene! Glad the horses actually raised their heads and looked at you.
ReplyDeleteI love horses but haven't ridden on one since I was a teen. I love these pictures of the horses grazing on the field of buttercups. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteLovely colors and compositions. The horses are beautiful in their field of sun, both from the sky and on the ground!
