Sometimes people put "electric" signs on their fences to make you think it is so it is doubly effective as a fence ... I sure wouldn't want to test it to find out , would you? Of course I love seeing a Ravon anywhere, but on an old fence ... doubly effective :) Fun post, JoAnn ,,,
I wonder if anyone has dared to test that fence to see if the sign is accurate ;) Great photos, and really have enjoyed your other posts as well...could move into that yellow house in a flash.
Love the second fence. Love the raven too. My neighbor had an electric fence and his horse kept running into it. Not a nice thing. The elk jumped over it. :-( I mailed your package yesterday morning. Hope you like it. Thanks so much.
I don't know much about electric fences but I think they're pretty low voltage. And I think they're set up to keep stock in, so all the animals need is a shock on their noses and they learn a lesson.
When I was in high school I had a horse in a stable. It was along the Los Angeles River without many places to ride, but it was heaven for me. The stable had pens with electric fences to keep the horses from bothering their neighbours. We would kid around with the boys, and they loved to grab one of our hands and then grab the fence wire so we would get the jolt. It wasn't enough to hurt us, but sure made a strong tingle. Was it worth it? Of course, the guys were cute. - Margy
that first one is definitely different. i'd have probably zapped myself touching it to see. :)
ReplyDeletenice fence model in the second shot. :)
I love the electric fence sign. I would probably be like Tex and have to touch it to see.
ReplyDeleteI'm crazy about ravens on fences! So Edgar Allen Poe-ish!
ReplyDeleteI do not think I would have nerve to touch the electric fence.. I love the raven shot. Great fence finds. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the old fence with the raven on it. The electric fence sign makes for a nice graphic.

ReplyDeleteLove the raven, and the fences, but the bird posing really makes the second photo! Smart, clever birds they are! :)
