Last night was a perfect night - warm sunshine - breezy and just the kind of night for dinner on the deck overlooking the harbor at Nicki's Bella Marina.
This was the view from our outdoor table. A whale watching boat was getting ready to cast off
It is the working harbor - boats lined up ready for their next trip.
And right next to the working harbor - the yacht harbor
The seagulls flew about - hoping for a bite to eat from those eating dinner on the deck
They danced
And sang - but no one fed them
The whale watching tour is full - and they start out of the harbor
It looked like a tight squeeze, but the captain handled it perfectly
There they go - dinner and whale watching
Zoom in on the people and the decorations on the boat
Going on a whale watching tour is on my bucket list! Love the photos of the gulls.
ReplyDeleteLucky for you those were only gulls. These days we have Black-eared kites that are bold enough to snatch the food from your plates.
ReplyDeleteI felt like I was right there on the dock! I'd LOVE to go whale watching.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great things going on in your part of the country!
Some years ago we went whale-watching in the mouth of the St Lawrence river. We had just started eating our dinner when they spotted minke whales - we were up on deck the whole time and the dinner went cold.
ReplyDeletea lovely spot for dinner with so much to watch
ReplyDeleteA nice place for dinner to watch the boats and the seagulls. I would like to go out on a whale watching trip! Have a happy day and weekend!
ReplyDeleteSuper photos. How lovely to have dinner whilst watching the boats.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, Jo!
ReplyDeleteThose naughty gulls! They are like bad children, but I loved the imagery of them dancing and singing for a supper that didn't come, for if it did, the song and dance routine would turn into a veritable follies show performed over your head. ;-)
Those boats are wonderful. We have a pirate ship, a harbor tour boat, sometimes a eplica of Columbus' ship or a replica ;-), an occasional shrimp boat, sailboats and cabin cruisers. But no whale boats. I'm not sure if the whales prefer cooler waters or what, but we do see dolphins. I just love them.
Great post! I wish I were on that ship!
