A Ride in the Country

Late Sunday afternoon we decided to take a ride.  The day had been very rainy but it had stopped and away we went.  Here are some of the things we saw on our ride.
Raindrops on roses
Cattle in a field of buttercups
A heron on a tin roof.  What?  How does he hold on and not slide right off?
He is reflected in the wet roof
A 1935 or 36 Ford Five Window Coupe - customized
A field of Ornamental Alium (onion)

They wave in the wind like magic wands
A very happy goat
A 1930s Rolls Royce convertible - just sitting alongside the road.

It was a very nice ride

  3. Your photos just SING the colors they represent! I adore that goat! Next to the magnificent shot you took of the herons last summer, I think this is my favorite!

  6. When I read raindrops on roses I thought the next photo would be whiskers on kittens. Can you hear the song?
The aliums are beautiful. I can't imagine seeing a whole field of them. Wow.

  7. Fun ride! I wonder if the cattle think that munching buttercups is a treat. Love the scampering goat.

  8. I would give anything to have a field of allium - I've just been looking at bulb catalogs to order some for planting as most of mine seems to have disappeared from the beds - voles aren't supposed to like them, perhaps a good weeding session to free them up to the sunshine would help! Yes, my garden is getting away from me and needs major work!

What a lovely ride in the country JoAnn - you always spot fabulous things to share with us. A 1930's RR, wow! I'd be jumping like that happy goat if I could ride around in one of those beauties!

    Hugs - Mary
