There weren't many - and the sun angle wasn't perfect - but there they were - skittering about in a tide pool
Looking for something good to eat
They moved so fast that I had to aim the camera in front of them - hoping to catch them as they zipped about
Beautiful with the blue sky reflected in the tide pools
A beautiful serie. Cute bird!
ReplyDeleteHI Great shots of this beautiful wader.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots of these cute birds.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteThat second shot is a real winner - you can even see the yellow legs. This type of bird really does skitter around. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI'm just impressed at how well you know your species of fowl in that nature-rich part of the world! Of course I have never heard of any creature wearing yellow legs except in a Dr. Suess book - but there it is! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI've been gone a week and now need to catch up on a few previous posts! Looking forward to it!
Great shots of bird I am desperate to see here in the UK.
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to see a new bird. Cute one too, congrats! I have trouble iding the Lesser and the Greater Yellowlegs.. Have a happy week!
ReplyDeletegreat captures of the shorebirds
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I'll be on the lookout for these unique and graceful birds along our shores. This week I saw a few Green-Winged Teals. I'm slowly learning to identify the birds with the help of my guide book.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blues indeed! Wonderful birdie photos.

ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!
We have both the Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs as vagrant visitors here. That would be a great bird to catch in flight because of the tail spread but you sure do have to be fast with the camera.
ReplyDeleteI like the wavy water they look like their tip-toeing in. :)
ReplyDeleteLesser yellowlegs - the name almost sounds like they're being made fun of.
Nice shots of the shorebirds!
Congratulations on a new bird! Nice images of this beautiful shorebird!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the Lesser Yellowlegs.
