South of us last night they got a lot of snow - and it was predicted that we would get NONE. So - here is what we have. Some - - -
As soon as the snow stopped - the sun came out. There was just enough snow to make Don take the bus to work - there are several big hills and dips between here and town.
Just enough snow to make pretty pictures - I haven't heard if the schools are open - but I would suppose they are
Snow on bamboo - in the early sunlight
And the gnomes on the deck are enjoying their "snow coats"
Oh, that's enough snow for this year - thank you.
Fun! These are some great pictures. Glad your husband chose the safe alternative. I will never forget driving on ice. Thankfully we were one of the few cars that ventured out, but my mother was in the hospital in critical condition. I have only driven on it that time and once more when the interstate iced over near Tallahassee. Their were cars in the median and off the shoulders, it we drove slow and made it through! You are far more intrepid than I!
ReplyDeleteLove the snow gnomes.

There not their. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteIt = the IPad's spelling of But, when I hit the wrong key . Double sigh. I wish I could blame their on it, but their, unfortunately, is all my own. ;- )
ReplyDelete"Snow on bamboo / In the early sunlight" -- sounds like an exquisite zen haiku!
ReplyDeleteOh snow is so photogenic!
ReplyDeleteLovely snow when it is in someone else's back yard!
ReplyDeleteOh you did get some snow! Your snowy gnomes made me smile.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds snowy down south, but we haven't had anything out west here. Yours is lovely and the gnomes look cute buried in it. They look like they're trying to shovel their way out. I hope you and Don are able to stay warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow photos! We had four inches here last night, and tonight we're supposed to have four to six. It's pretty, but blech. Everything in the outside world stops. I've had enough already! lol. Stay warm up north!
ReplyDeleteThe gnomes are just to cute in their snow coats, I love it!! Lovely pictures, I especially love the bamboo with the sunlight filtering through the leaves like dancing light.
ReplyDeleteI end up driving to work (nearly 60 miles round trip) in the snow and ice all winter. We had it all this week. About 8 inches of snow topped off with drizzly rain to make the ice. The driving part was as usual, but I slipped on the ice in the parking lot at work Monday. It would have made a good video for TV - feet straight out - landing flat on my back. I am still seeing stars from the whack on my head when I hit the ground - ouch!!!
That stuff is falling right now so I looked out the window at our bamboo ... not a picture, it is bending over with the weight!.
ReplyDeleteI saw the weather on the Net and came over to see if YOU got some snow and you did! :) Enjoy! :)
ReplyDeleteWell we didn't get any snow. Maybe tonight but I bet not. We are up high enough but it is too cold and no clouds in the sky although it overcast now. MB
