Time to scavenge up a few photos - Scavenger Hunt!!
Vacation
Foods
Sometimes we go to Eastern Washington, which always includes a visit to Palouse Falls
Sometimes we visit nearby lakes
And once I went to Fort Rock in Central/Eastern Oregon with my cousins. Notice the people in the center photo - at the base of Fort Rock (tiny white dot in right lower corner). Fort Rock once was a complete circle - the center of an inactive volcano, surrounded by a sea that was 150 feet deep. It is 4,460 feet (1,360 m) in diameter and stands about 200 feet (60 m) high. It is dated as being 50,000 to 100,000 years old.
In 1936 sandals and human artifacts dated approximately 9,000 to 10,000 years old were found in nearby caves. The people lived there until the protective rock walls collapsed and the sea rushed in. Today it sits in the middle of a hot, dry desert.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when do these scavenger hunt posts! Mrs. Browndirt and her cookie stole the show...in my humble opinion.
Because...I don't have a cookie. And now I want one.
Great photos for your photo hunt. I love the various scene from your vacations. And the moon and ocean shots are fantastic. The doll with the cookie is adorable. Thanks for sharing, lovely mosaics. Have a happy week ahead.
Fantastic photos. The moon shots are really wonderful. Did you use a tripod and a long exposure? Love the ocean shots as well, and the mountains!
Great photos I do like the sound of silence.
oooo, I wish I had that heather! So pretty!
Beautiful shots, all! Reminds me (yet again!) I want to explore eastern Washington, I want a cookie, and I want to look at the moon again once the weather clears.
What a lovely images. Alaska is very interesting place, I think so. I think that it is much colder than Finnish winter. :)
You have some really interesting shots and mosaics here. Palouse Falls is one of my favorite places to visit. Loved your texture shots, especially the moss/lichen shot. Sound was fabulous, wonderful moon shots and I love the roar of the ocean. Well done.
