Mountains

“A simple act of kindness the size of a rice grain can weigh as heavy as a mountain.”   ― Feroz Bham

“Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity...”   ― John Muir

“May your dreams be larger than mountains and may you have the courage to scale their summits.”   ― Harley King

All the birds have flown up and gone;
A lonely cloud floats leisurely by.
We never tire of looking at each other -
Only the mountain and I.

Li Po

All these photos were taken  on Hiway 9 - about 30 miles from our house.  Mt. Baker and The Sisters.

OMG that is awesome. Climbing a mountain is in my list of things to do in the next 5 years and this is making me even more determined.

How lucky you are to live near to such beautiful mountains Joann. Take a look at my post today - the first since I returned from holiday - and you will see the exact opposite kind of scenery.
