I've always loved cheese spreaders - and I've always thought I didn't have enough. The sets are a bit pricey for me - so whenever I find some at yard sales or thrift stores - I pick them up. Our son-in-law Jason makes his famous cheese ball for any occasion - and a cheese spreader is always a good idea. Well, I've picked up cheese spreaders - and picked up cheese spreaders - and - well, you get the idea.
Some fish - maybe we'll have a luau. . .
Lighthouses - perfect for a beach picnic. . .
These were the first ones I picked up at a thrift store - we used them for every occasion for a while. . .
Next - some "new" holiday cheese spreaders. . .
A very nice holiday family. . .
For the more sophisticated cheese ball. . .
And a baseball cheese spreader for Don and summer!
Nice Catch!
So that's about it - do you think I have enough? Still when I see some in those little baggies at the thrift store I am still tempted - you never know what theme will be needed for your cheese ball. I think I'll have some cheese and crackers, thank you!
What an amusing collection--something for every occasion. The closest I come to collecting would be paperweights or--in a galaxy far, far away--antique glass Christmas ornaments. Having something to look out for makes thrifting so much more fun and challenging. Happy hunting!

These are terrific. Mine started with a Teddy bear. Moved onto pigs dressed as chefs,.... We do have a lot in common, don't we. Thanks for your concern, I am feeling much better. All test came back negative so far.
ReplyDeleteI don't even eat cheese and I love these. I would totally buy them if I saw them. Following you on GFC and looking forward to more finds. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun collection! I have a couple of very cute cheese spreaders. I bought them new and they seemed like an extravagence. I haven't considered them as part of a garage sale quest - now that's something I could enjoy and I always, always feel good about my garage sale finds and treasures!
