Sunlit Sunday - Heron and Seagull

Nothing lights up my day like Herons - add in a seagull and I'm in heaven.  These photos were taken in Birch Bay, Washington.

Good afternoon, Heron.

Getting kinda crowded here, don't you think?

Well, Heron, you could move to another spot.

I believe I was here first, Seagull.

Hey Heron, you are hiding me from the camera!

Hee Hee

I think I'll stay and visit.  How's it going, Heron?

Pretty good, Seagull.  How about you?

Got a little something that is irritating me - that's about it.

That's better.

Nice feet.
Thanks!

I chuckled at the conversation between these two!
Over the years, I've spotted a few herons, but not of this type. It almost looks like your feathered friend has a long beard.

Thank you for joining in, beaks and all, with "Sunlit Sunday" this week!

Sweet conversation, and nice photos.

Don't see many of those around my neck of the woods. No water around me. You made an interesting narrative with photos.

That heron has quite the curmudgeonly expression, doesn't he? What a fun conversation to accompany your great photos!

What fun! I love herons and seagulls -- a warm spot in my heart as once I lived on Galveston Island and was surrounded by water birds. Loved the conversation! Happy Sunlit Sunday!

Thanks for sharing. We don't see Heron's in this shoulder of the desert.

Oh Jo...you had fun with this and I had fun reading it! Your herons are so much more exotic looking than hours.

Lovely photos. I have a soft spot for water birds, too.
