As a nature photographer I am always interested in the light - how it hits a subject - how it shines or reflects. There are so many different ways to catch the light.
The light generated from a vast field of daffodils!!
The light reflected at the bottom of Palouse Falls in Eastern Washington. . . .
And then you can catch the light - an old light bulb on an old building. . .
The afternoon light into a very old house - left long ago, for who knows what reasons.
The light through the woods - a special kind of light reflecting onto water. . .
Catching that bit of light on the tip of a snow covered branch. . .
Early morning light at Silver Lake . . .
Light reflected off the ocean - out past the mouth of this bay was a pod of whales. . .
Catching a reflection on a still day. . .
Catching the moon in the daytime - splendid light. . .
Light up signs - come on in. . .
A leaf sitting on top of our car - catching the reflected light of autumn. . .
Lake Paden early in the morning. . .
Light and shadows in Eastern Washington - Potholes Park. . .
And the light catching a heron in the water. . .

Lovely journal of light!
Wonderful series of the art of light! The doffodil field seems to fling back and sunlight and the light seems to be playing in the water in the last photo!
Exquisite photographs JoAnn - this is what you get if you go out with a specific aim in mind. I shall have to try it.
Lovely collection of reflections of light! I love the old barn in the field of daffodils!
I echo Weaver, "exquisite" was the decription that came to mind when studying your photos. You have a real artist's eye with your camera--and such variety, each equally beautiful.
love the moon and snow shots, they are great xxx
What a beautiful series of photos, JoAnn! Every one so unique and lovely. I can't say I have a favorite, I love them all! You have been to some amazing places! xoxo
