Weekly Top Shot - Seagull landing

I'm fascinated with the feathers of seagulls - such wonderful designs, made by nature - this one was hovering above the waves as they splashed against the rocks, jumping up as each wave hit.

I could watch the gulls for a long time - swooping and diving. It's amazing how they can fly into the wind. Good shot!

I might love animals the way you love dishes!!!
Only wish...they didn't poop ;)

I went to Alaska for the first time last July and I'm so smitten
I can't tell you! I was on the Kenai peninsula serving on the
beach as people dip netted their salmon.
My boys also caught some and we brought them back and grilled them
for our church...it was the ultimate adventure for me!

Oh, this is wonderful to see all the feather's so fanned out! Once when we stayed at a waterfront hotel in Vancouver, BC, a seagull begged for food at our window! Of course we ordered room service just to feed him! xx
