Photo Art Friday - Entrances and Exits

I'm trying out some photo editing and learning new things with my camera - so thought this was a good time to show some of my efforts.

Theme for this week for Photo Art  is Entrances and Exits.  While we were in Wisconsin in August for Don's 50th High School Class Reunion, we took a few days to drive around and look at the wonderful scenery in northern Wisconsin.

The barns and farms are so interesting.  There are many that are still working farms, and then there are some that have seen the ravages of time,  and yet they stand.  There are many rock buildings  on the farms - and this one was one of my favorites, with the elderberry bushes growing inside. I can only imagine the history of this.

I softened the edges of the photo - the mists of time surrounding the entrance to times past - appropriate I think.  .  .

Oh yes! The image and your lovely description - "the mists of time surrounding the entrance to times past" - make a perfect marriage. So pleased you have joined us at Photo Art Friday, Joann.

I love this photo - I like the way it lends itself to the imagination....what's beyond the wall; why the break in the wall; is there a 'grand' house nearby, etc. The soft edges are a perfect touch.

This wall is perfect for this week's theme. I love the unevenness of it.

Lovely piece and I like the "mist of times" interpretation of your work.

Stone walls are such lovely subjects, especially when given an air of "mist"ery.
