Wednesday Wee Ones

A cute little fairy dropped by this week

A baby's first laugh drifts into the air and becomes a fairy - so each boy and girl has their own fairy to help them through their life.

Poppy the fairy is wearing her favorite fairy dress - with fairies on the fabric

She is thinking up good deeds to do so she can earn her wings
And she did it - good deeds always bring wings to nice little fairies.

The pattern is Simplicity 5705.  I adapted Poppy's outfit from the one on the top left.  I didn't have enough fabric so had to make the skirt differently, but love how it turned out anyway.

There are several of us who sew for our dolls and blog on Wednesdays
Stop by and see what fun and darling outfits they have sewn

Very nice. Beautiful fabric in the dress. I have Cabbage Patch Dolls that need clothes. I wonder if there are any patterns available out there?

I'm doing a little fairy dance this morning! I was so thrilled to see your post already up! And you know I don't have that pattern...yet! I love that little dress and like what you did with the skirt. How very sweet! Our dolls are dancing now!!! Have a happy day sweet friend, Diane

Awww! I knew this would be sweet! I like the pretty flair of the skirt. And between you and Diane, you find the cutest tiny print fabrics - so suitable for doll clothes!

Hi Joann! Oh, what a sweet little fairy dress you've made. Love the points at the hem of the skirt! This is just so much fun. I have you linked up at my blog too!
Be a sweetie,

I was wondering if she was for someone special, till I read the last bit. Sounds like you at least have fun doing this.

What a special fairy! I like the story you included. I have a sewing machine that I received as a gift. I need to keep reading your Wednesday posts for inspiration to start sewing again. Your doll clothes are much too advanced for me though. :)

The fairy dress is lovely, the pattern you picked is perfect for this material. Poppy is very well suited to this shade red, it flatters her face wonderfully.

I have been low profile lately, just pinning pictures.

Have a wonderful week.... Hugs, Candy
